Ah! What amazing creatures! They are one of the LARGEST animals in the ocean. Manta rays can weigh as much as 3,000 lbs (1,350 kg) and have wingspans of up to 23 ft (7m)! They are filter feeders (like whale sharks) and typically feed on zooplankton. Giant manta rays sometimes do somersaults (barrel rolls) while feeding to maximize their prey intake! If you get a chance to see them in the wild… I would say you would be a pretty lucky human!
