These weighty Rattlesnakes are one of my newest pieces, part of a new collection perhaps. Rattlesnake rattles are made of keratin (a protein found in our hair, skin, and nails). Each time a rattlesnake sheds - a new rattle segment is grown. Pretty neat stuff!
