This species of extinct Snaggletooth Shark, Hemipristis serra, was recovered from coastal Miocene deposits between 5-9 million years old!

The serrations on this snaggle are just beautiful! I followed the natural curve of the tooth for this setting. Snaggletooth or Hemipristis serra… Hemi is Greek for “half” and pristis is Greek for “saw”. The name “half saw” refers to their odd and jagged teeth!
